Welcome to Beta Delta Omega's website!! Chartered in 1934, Beta Delta Omega Chapter was the first Greek letter organization established in Mississippi for African American women. Today, Beta Delta Omega is the largest Alpha Kappa Alpha graduate chapter in the state of Mississippi. In 2009, the chapter celebrated Seventy-Five years of service in Alpha Kappa Alpha. During the chapter’s Founders’ Day observance in February 2005, Beta Delta Omega’s history book was unveiled. The book entitled Capturing A Vision, written and edited by the chapter’s very own members, Cozetta Buckley, Esther Martin Rigsby, and the late Bernice Lloyd Bell, chronicles the chapter’s first sixty-six years. In keeping with the ideals of those who chartered the chapter, Beta Delta Omega continues to promote social interaction among women and to provide excellent service for the betterment of all humankind. Under the strong leadership of our current president, Tonya Parker, and with the help of a great membership, the chapter continues to support the National platforms of the sorority. We are justifiably proud of our chapter's heritage and current programs as we continue to be Superior in "Service to all mankind." Beta Delta Omega Chapter Post Office Box 16666 Jackson, MS 39236 |
